As a remote-first app development team, we like to do our training events in-person so we have a chance to spend time together. This Christmas, we all met up in Malaga for mobile workshops, training and a bit of fun. Despite primarily being a UK app developer, 33% of our team live abroad, and another 33% often work from abroad.
We hired a villa to house us all, which had a pool. It was a touch cold in November but Matt still managed a morning swim 🥶
After the event, Anna hosted a murder mystery night. Matt, Matteo, Marcin, Judit, Jenny and Tobin had to do the cooking and serving! Not easy when you're trying to stay in character.
And Matt helped get the BBQ going.
Emanuelle, our amazing strategic branding guy, ran training workshops on problem solving. He also played Secret Santa and dished out the gifts.
At a pleasant 17 degrees, Judit conducted her Glow n' Grow workshop outdoors in the sunshine.
It was an awesome 5 days, we learned a lot and had some fun ❤️
Anna and Jenny did an amazing job or organising the 5-day event. It included

- Exploring new ways to grow a mobile SaaS product we invest in.
- Learning how to improve our socail media marketing
- A Grow n' Glow workshop identifying individual focus areas for 2023
